How I got rid of my cravings

I used to be that person that was ashamed of my sweet tooth. I would try and hide it and act like I didn't like certain foods to make up for the reason that I did NOT "allow" them in my diet.

But it honestly made my cravings even worse and whenever I did "allow" myself to have the foods I was craving, it was like the last supper... and then I would feel horrible and gross and restrict them again.

The cycle was defeating and so hard to break.

BUT I did it! I broke the cycle and I don't crave foods like I used to!

This is what helped me:

  • First and foremost, I STOPPED deeming foods as "off limits". I STOPPED elimiating/restricting ANYTHING from my diet.

If I want something sweet, I always make sure to have something sweet. Sometimes it's going out for ice cream, but most days it's my protein oats or protein ice cream or some rice cakes with nut butter and fruit.

  • Going off of that, I got A LOT of processed foods and artificials out of my diet. Trying to use "fake" things to kill my cravings only made them worse. So I created my meals based mostly around whole foods and then added in a few fun foods here and there.

Our bodies LOVE whole foods, and the more we have them the better we feel and the better we think as well. Mentally and physcially, my body craved my whole foods I was eating and my sweet alternative treats I was making (without processed foods and artificials).

  • Lastly, a supplement has helped me as well. MELT by Bowmar Nutrition . This is a fat burner, but it also helps so much with cravings. They also have amazing flavors (blue razz stim free is my fav) to add in as a little treat to drink in the morning, pre workout, midday, literally whenever you want (if it's stim free). (CODE LEXI SAVES 10% as well)

I still love sweets and have them from time to time! I also still eat processed foods and artificials sometimes. I just honestly feel my best, don't restrict or have crazy cravings and binges because of these changes I have made!

Hope this helps you too!

xx
